Namoris
Namoris is an evil mage and Baldren’s nemesis. He pushed Baldren into the portal to Rainbow Moon through a magical ambush. He then sent the monsters that would later plague Rainbow Moon through the portal in order to make sure that he had gotten rid of Baldren permanently. After that, stupidly enough, he walked through the portal before remembering to change the coordinates so he ended up stuck on Rainbow Moon as well. After that he gathered several artifacts in the hopes that he could make something to get him home, however, every time he managed to get an artifact, Baldren and his allies would swoop in, defeat him and take the artifact. At the end of the game Namoris stole the portal staff from Baldren which lead to the final battle.
Due to him using magic his attacks have a long range and most of them have a quite large AOE. He can still attack just as good at short ranges mind you. He is weak to Baldren’s class due to him using swords and strong against Dozeru due to him using a lance/somewhat lance-like weapon.
Baldren
Baldren is a young and capable swordsman who was sent to another world by his nemesis Namoris. As he obviously wanted to get back to his homeworld he fought monsters, gathered comrades, explored dungeons and encountered and fought Namoris in hopes of finding some way to get back home. Near the end of the Main Storyline he got a recipe for a portal staff that could get him home if used on a portal. However, as he was trying to use it he got ambushed by Namoris and it was stolen from him which lead to the final battle against Namoris. The battle ended in Namoris’ defeat and Baldren going home but being able to get back at any time due to the connection between the worlds having been permanently established.
Baldren is strong against staff-using enemies(Mages) and weak against bow-using enemies. He is initially close-range only but later in the game he gets skills that allow him to attack multiple enemies at close to mid-range.
Trisha
Trisha is an archer from Cassar Island on Rainbow Moon. She joined Baldren on his quest because she had always dreamed of leaving Cassar Island and exploring the world. Someone also begged on her behalf to let Trisha come with him before Baldren met her and that’s how we got to know that.
Trisha is mid to long-range, able to attack enemies almost across the entire battlefield when at a high enough level, however she can’t attack enemies right beside her because there isn’t enough distance between them, the only ways to deal with this is to move away from the enemy and then attack them, or to use speedy riposte, a skill that you can learn at around level 7-8, which makes Trisha kick away the enemy, doing damage and having a chance of stunning them.
Dozeru
Dozeru is a tank, he has a lot of health and does a lot of damage. He had been guarding the town of Orad along with his comrades ever since the monsters appeared. When Baldren and Trisha first met him he was wearing a bucket to protect his head from monster attacks since his helmet was stolen. After doing some errands for him he joins your party.
Dozeru is a tank, he has a lot of health and does a lot of damage but in his early stages he is quite slow, that can be countered through going to the blacksmith with materials that increase speed and embedding them into Dozeru’s equipment if you are desperate enough, that is only a temporary boost as he is going to get better equipment later.
Gorodo
Gorodo can be found outside of his house at the place where you get off of the raft when you first arrive at Euran. He’s one of Dozeru’s comrades but he can’t fight to protect Orad anymore as his Mojos were stolen, three artifacts which grant him power. After a series of fetch quests Gorodo asks Baldren to fight him in order to prove that he is worthy enough to have Gorodo join him. After being defeated he joins the party.
Gorodo is a close-range fighter and uses a pair of axes/hatchets, he remains a close-range fighter the entire game and at high levels his equipment gives him very large boosts in power in exchange for defense, meaning that he’s a glass cannon, not good in a turn-based RPG, especially if the enemy has a higher speed attribute than him.
Serena
Serena is a mage that can be found in the Teardrop Mountains, NorthWest of Orad. Baldren and the team meet her and after finding 3 parts of some sort of scroll and her student she joins the party.
She is a staff-user which means that, just like Namoris, she can attack at close, mid and mid-long-range and that some of her skills have very large AOE.
Zelorus
Zelorus can be found on a small island NorthWest of Tafar, the town in Dead Lake Desert. He was a tyrant, demanding the people of Tafar send him honey cakes lest their town get destroyed by his monsters. He managed to control the monsters due to a deal he made with them, if he brought them honey cakes they would follow his commands, he also got another “artifact” that he tried to use on the main characters before the actual battle started but it turned out that it did absolutely nothing, it was as useful as any other piece of garbage that you can find on the ground. After being defeated by Baldren and his team he is dejected but you will eventually be able to recruit him to your party.
Zelorus uses a slingshot and he can only attack mid close/close to mid-range diagonally with his normal attack which can be useful in certain situations but even so, by the time you have enough money to buy good equipment for him he will have a way lower level than the characters that you use in battle as he starts out at level 16. Basically, I personally don’t really think it is worth it to use him as a fighter.
